“Business and the Environment” Conference — Knowledge, Inspiration and Dialogue for the Climate

News

The first day of the “Business and the Environment” conference brought together an exceptionally large gathering of representatives from the refrigeration, air conditioning and industrial sectors at a hotel in Mszczonów. From the early morning, the room buzzed with conversation, business card exchanges and smiles — the air was filled with anticipation for inspiring encounters and new ideas.

This year’s edition, like previous ones, combined expert knowledge with a practical approach to the environmental challenges facing businesses.

Topics addressed during the first day included, among others:

– new rules for handling refrigeration waste

– corporate reporting obligations and regulatory changes

– updates to the Central Operator Register

– the current state of the waste electrical equipment market,

as well as presentations of the RE-ELECTRO 4 LIFE and Coolspaces 4 LIFE projects, demonstrating that technology and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

Speakers not only shared their knowledge but also encouraged open discussion — conversations continued in the corridors, covering the practical aspects of implementing new regulations, challenges in sourcing refrigerants, and effective recovery and recycling methods.

Many attendees noted that the PROZON conference is one of the few events where theory meets practice, and where difficult topics — such as F-gas regulations and Regional Environmental Inspectorate (WIOŚ) inspections — are addressed in a concrete, accessible and collaborative manner.

The second part of the day focused on the latest industry challenges: refrigerant smuggling, changes in EU legislation, and safety when working with flammable gases. Expert presentations showed that the refrigeration industry is becoming increasingly environmentally aware and open to innovation.

The day concluded with a gala dinner, where conversations continued long after the formal programme had ended — in a relaxed atmosphere, full of positive energy and the exchange of experiences.

The first day of the conference demonstrated that environmental responsibility is not merely an obligation, but a shared mission — one that unites businesses, experts and institutions alike.

The “Business and the Environment” conference once again proved that the exchange of knowledge and open dialogue are the keys to real change.
