Regeneration and management of SF6

The PROZON Foundation offers 2 ways of managing sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) recovered from equipment:

  • null

    Acceptance of waste

Acceptance of waste for management of Sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) recovered from electrical and power equipment. The waste management is carried out according to the price list of the Regeneration Centre. Customers who have signed an Agreement on cooperation in the field of climate protection with the Foundation are subject to special waste management prices specified in the terms of the agreement.

  • null

    Regeneration of sulphur hexafluoride (SF6)

Regeneration means the recycling of a recovered fluorinated greenhouse gas to obtain properties in keeping with those of the original substance. Contaminated SF6 is subjected to an advanced treatment process, which results in obtaining parameters that meet the requirements of PN-EN IEC 60376 or PN-EN IEC 60480.

The quality of sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) after regeneration is confirmed by a quality certificate issued by the PROZON Laboratory.

In each of the above cases, the SF6 handed over to the Regeneration Centre must be issued with a Waste Transfer Card (KPO), which is a confirmation of waste management in accordance with applicable law.
