The most important climate challenge we all currently face is protecting our planet from the catastrophic consequences of the climate crisis. The effects of climate change are devastating and are already affecting each and every one of us, which is why we must act as quickly as possible!

Schiessl Polska is one of the founding members of our Foundation. For over 25 years, we have been carrying out activities aimed at reducing the use and minimizing the emissions of refrigerants, focusing on promoting recovery and reclamation as well as best practices in this area. As part of a project implemented by the Foundation, a Refrigerant Reclamation Centre and an analytical laboratory were launched. Currently, the PROZON Foundation is the only entity in Poland performing the reclamation of fluorinated greenhouse gases.

Schiessl Polska is actively joining the nationwide refrigerant recovery and reclamation network, coordinated by our Foundation. The established network makes it possible to minimize the emission of refrigerants into the atmosphere and reduce the amount of new substances placed on the market that negatively affect climate change.

Actions to reduce the carbon footprint are becoming one of the key parameters defining a company’s position in the market. Therefore, reducing the carbon footprint generated by Polish installation companies should become a priority, through taking concrete actions for climate protection.

From now on, every customer can collect an empty PROZON Foundation recovery cylinder and hand over the recovered refrigerant at Schiessl branches. Details regarding the transfer of the refrigerant should be arranged by contacting the selected Schiessl branch.

The recovered refrigerant will be sent to the PROZON Foundation laboratory, where its quality and the possibility of carrying out the reclamation process are assessed. Upon completion of the reclamation process, the PROZON Foundation issues a quality certificate for each batch of refrigerant. This gives the customer confidence that the refrigerant offered meets the most stringent standards and can be reintroduced into the installation.

Recovered refrigerant that is not suitable for reclamation will be accepted by the Foundation for disposal. If the content of “foreign” refrigerant impurities does not exceed 1%, there is also the possibility of selling the refrigerant back to the PROZON Foundation.
